ABOUT SPRAY DAY

Spray Day began in Los Angeles in 2024 as a social event celebrating creative expression and culture. It brought together DJing, rap performance, graffiti art, and dance—the four original pillars of hip-hop—in a modern setting where guests could take part in the creativity around them.

At the center of each event is a large graffiti wall, with artwork by a professional artist on one side and open space for guests to tag on the other. Throughout the party, tags overlap and colors build, transforming the wall into an abstract masterpiece that takes shape naturally as people add to it.

For many guests, it’s their first time picking up a spray can. Painting together gives them a chance to experiment, start conversations, and connect through a shared experience. That feeling of trying something new and leaving inspired is what Spray Day is built around.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to inspire people to create.

We believe creativity belongs in everyday life, in whatever form or medium a person chooses. Spray Day puts art at the center of a social experience and invites everyone to contribute.

A few minutes at the wall can introduce someone to a new interest or remind them of a passion they’ve set aside. Our purpose is to create those moments: opportunities to explore, express yourself, and carry that inspiration beyond the event.

THE WORKSHOPS

The Graffiti Workshop grew out of the event series, giving people more time to explore the medium in a smaller, more personal setting. It brings the Spray Day experience to a broader audience with the same purpose: to inspire and inform in a fun, energetic way.

Participants have the space, materials, and guidance to try something creative while learning about an art form that surrounds us in cities everywhere. The focus is on exploration and expression, with no expectation of becoming a practicing graffiti artist.

Held at Complete Studio in Downtown Los Angeles, each workshop offers a hands-on introduction to spray-paint techniques and lettering. An experienced artist guides you as you create your own graffiti piece. All materials are included, and beginners are welcome.
